Global Action in Healthcare Network (GAIHN) team consisting of staff from Health Security Partners (HSP) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
On May 8th, the Global Action in Healthcare Network (GAIHN) team consisting of staff from Health Security Partners (HSP) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) visited Ospital Ng Sampaloc (OSSAM) in Manila, Philippines. In addition to our partners at OSSAM, the team was welcomed by The City of Manila Health Department Director and directors from six City of Manila Hospitals. The GAIHN team shared overviews detailing the existing networks of countries and healthcare facilities dedicated to improving detection and response for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Specifically, the team shared current and future activities of the GAIHN Philippines network including COVID-19 sequencing, HAI surveillance, and infection prevention & control quality improvement activities.
