WHO to Launch Multinational Trial to Jumpstart Search for Coronavirus Drugs-STAT

The World Health Organization has announced that it will launch a multi-arm, multi-country clinical trial for potential coronavirus therapies as part of an aggressive effort to jumpstart the global search for drugs to treat COVID-19. The study, named the SOLIDARITY trial, will include at least ten countries and study the effectiveness of four already licensed drug/drug combinations which are used to treat other illnesses. STAT, 3/18/2020
