Congratulations to the Global Action in Healthcare Network (GAIHN) Brazil Network team who has had their Research Letter published in the December 2023 issue of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Emerging Infectious Diseases Journal (EID)! HSP and CDC have had the honor of supporting this team for the past two years in their SARS-CoV-2 variant surveillance at GAIHN-network participating facilities in southern Brazil. The team’s article describes substantial variant diversity among 23 detected SARS-CoV-2 Omicron lineage viruses cocirculating among healthcare workers and inpatients in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
