Over the past few years, HSP has expanded its core foci from chemical and biological security to cover research security for all emerging technology areas, including semiconductors, quantum computing, convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) with other technologies, advanced neuroscience, materials science, synthetic biology and multi-omics, to name a few. HSP is a platform for promoting secure and responsible use of all technologies, bringing new voices to share and shape a common vision. HSP has expanded engagement with industry, and professional and trade associations globally to bolster technology security across supply chains. HSP provides solutions through research security, cybersecurity, Know-Your-Collaborator (KYC), personnel security and insider threat mitigation, data and IP management, among others. HSP builds upon the lessons learned across these sectors, by scaling proven models of risk assessment and mitigation, and launching novel approaches to science and technology engagement, implementation of U.S. and international standards and best practices, ensuring national and economic security, and building self-reliance in partner countries to create a secure future for all.
