Title: Society in the Pandemic Period

Scope of the book: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of social life around the globe, from individual relationships to institutional operations at local and global levels. As people do their best to mitigate transmission through strict restrictions on people's movement, connections and interactions, the disease continues to decimate families, upend governments, crush economies, affect migrants, and tear through the social and economic sector. These social changes and transformations also brought psychosocial health problems. During this time, modern societies should be studied from different fields of social sciences. The purpose of this book is to examine, collect and report the social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in different parts of the world. Academics working in social sciences are expected to write about their country's COVID-19 experience. The authors are free to choose topics about the pandemic in their country.

Important Dates:

  • Abstract Submission (Draft): June 15, 2020
  • Preliminary Acceptance/Rejection Notification: June 20, 2020
  • Full Chapter Submission: July 3, 2020  (3000-6000 words, APA6)
  • Review Notification: July 10, 2020
  • Revised Chapter / Camera Ready Submission: July 25, 2020

Submission Procedure: Please submit your draft abstract of 100-150 words and 3-5 keywords of your chapter at the link.

Upon acceptance of the proposal, further instructions for submission guidelines according to the Publishing House will be communicated. The book will be published in English by one of the leading publishing houses (https://www.ekinyayinevi.com) in Turkey. There will be ISBN for the book and DOI will be provided for each article.
