HSP in Collaboration With Mexican Biosafety Association (AMEXBIO) Will Kick Off “Strengthening Cybersecurity and Biosecurity for High Containment Labs: Introduction to Cyberbiosecurity” Symposium From November 16 to 18, 2022
Health Security Partners (HSP) and the Mexican Biosafety Association (AMEXBIO) look forward to kicking off the “Strengthening Cybersecurity and Biosecurity for High Containment Labs: Introduction to Cyberbiosecurity” symposium from November 16 to 18, 2022.
The three-day symposium will bring together local and international experts to deliver lectures, discuss case studies, and host plenary sessions for researchers working in high-containment laboratories in Mexico. Topics discussed will focus on strengthening biosecurity, biosafety, and cyberbiosecurity, and raise awareness of cyber threats and the need for cybersecurity across the life sciences sector.
The desired outcomes of this symposium are to define methods to increase security standards and national guidelines, as well as protect weaponizable pathogens, critical biological data, and research technologies in vulnerable institutions.
