Point-Prevalence Survey Training in the Philippines

In August, HSP supported our CDC partners and facilities in the Global Action in Healthcare Network (GAIHN) in providing onsite training and technical assistance for healthcare-associated infection (HAI) point-prevalence survey (PPS) in the Philippines. During our visit, staff at Makati Medical Center receiving PPS training, performed medical record extractions, and entered data into a REDCap survey tool, designed to streamline the collection of data used to make HAI determinations for pneumonia, surgical site infections, urinary tract infections, and blood stream infections.
