HSP Pakistan Vet Cohort Engaged for Professional Development Opportunity to Strengthen Master Trainer Skills

Health Security Partners (HSP) hosted a three-day training on “Learning Training Cycle and Strategic Communications” in partnership with the Association for Biorisk Management-Pakistan (ABM) from August 11-13, 2022, at Highlands Country Club, Pakistan. The objective of the training was to explore how strategic communication ties an organization's objectives and values to project implementation, and how good communication can increase overall pride and commitment to an organization's work. The HSP Vet Cohort's 22 biorisk management master trainers and support staff from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, Pakistan participated in the training. HSP Vet Cohort members come from a diverse variety of backgrounds in the fields of veterinary sciences, microbiology, finance, human resources and administration, and they work with more than 100 labs of livestock departments and universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan. For such a diverse group of individuals to partner with groups across the region from many backgrounds, the training was especially crucial. The training agenda was led by HSP subject matter expert Ms. Tabinda Malik, former Senior Health Communications Advisor at the World Health Organization. This professional development training will better enable the master trainers and staff to communicate effectively, strategically, and aptly in every forum to achieve their objectives through team building, persuasive skills, and polished interpersonal skills.
