Turning Data Protection Principles into Action for Genomic Research

Health Security Partners recently co-hosted "Operationalizing Genomic Data Security and Research Oversight in Kenya" in Naivasha, in partnership with NACOSTI and with subject matter expertise from Sention. The workshop brought together representatives from 11 Kenyan institutions to turn the principles of Kenya's Data Protection Act into actionable frameworks for governing, sharing, and protecting genomic data.

We're grateful to have supported this work with such a distinguished group of scientists, regulators, and policy leaders, and we look forward to seeing the outcomes take root in participating institutions.
